P.L. Light Systems and Dutch Lighting Innovations form a strategic partnership to expand horticultural lighting services.

P.L. Light Systems Canada Inc. has completed a strategic partnership with Dutch Lighting Innovations Holding B.V., linking the Hamilton, Ontario-based horticultural lighting company with a Dutch business that sells LED grow lighting systems in more than 30 countries.
The agreement was completed in partnership with P.L. Light Systems owner and president Todd Phillips, who will remain president and continue to oversee North American operations.
Founded in 1981, P.L. Light Systems serves the North American market with horticultural lighting products. Dutch Lighting Innovations, or DLI, designs, assembles, and sells advanced LED grow lighting systems to professional horticulture growers producing a wide range of crops in high-tech greenhouses.
The companies said the partnership positions P.L. Light Systems to expand service to customers across the continent and broaden its role in horticultural lighting and technology.
"Our leading market position and reputation for quality and service were key attributes that attracted interest from DLI", Phillips said. "The partnership with DLI is a great fit and will create a larger platform for continued geographic expansion, a broadening of the portfolio of products and services, and a strong base for growth via acquisitions across the horticultural lighting industry."
Dutch Lighting Innovations CEO Pim Van Eijk said the deal builds on P.L. Light Systems’ standing in North America.
"P.L. Light Systems has been a long-established leader in the North American market, and their partnership with DLI will help them expand their reach and continue providing quality products, services and solutions to their customers."
