Glamox to acquire UK defence lighting specialist Consolite, expanding naval and military lighting capabilities.


Glamox has agreed to acquire Consolite Technology Limited, a UK company focused on specialized military lighting and optical communication systems, in a deal that expands the Norwegian lighting group's position in the defense market.
The acquisition brings Consolite into Glamox's Marine, Offshore & Wind division, where it will work closely with MARL International. Glamox said the move adds advanced technologies, specialist engineering expertise, and established customer relationships, while broadening its ability to serve naval and defense customers with mission-critical lighting products.

Founded in 1980 and based in Zeals, United Kingdom, Consolite develops specialized military lighting and optical communication systems for naval and defense applications. Its product portfolio includes Night Vision Technology, military LiFi systems, and specialist lighting for demanding defense environments.
The company is also a supplier to UK naval programs including the Type 31 frigate programme and Royal Navy fleet replenishment projects.

Consolite Technology Limited has more than 40 years of experience serving naval and military customers. The company develops and manufactures Night Vision Goggle (NVG) compatible lighting and filters, military LiFi systems, and specialist LED lighting solutions for defense applications.
